Patna: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) Commissioner Mr. Rajesh Lakhani has highlighted the crucial role that Bihar Navodaya alumni, through BAAN (Bihar Alumni Association of Navodaya), can play in the overall development of Navodaya schools. He stated that alumni support would not only guide and inspire students but also enhance academic standards.
During a meeting with representatives of BAAN, Commissioner Lakhani acknowledged that Navodaya students have achieved success in various fields. If these alumni contribute their experiences, resources, and time towards school development, it will significantly benefit current students. He emphasized that initiatives such as career counseling, scholarships, mentorship programs, and technical support through the BAAN network will have a far-reaching impact.
Mr. Lakhani also revealed that NVS aims to strengthen Navodaya schools academically, ensuring students are well-prepared for competitive exams during their school years. For this, NVS is collaborating with reputed coaching institutes and has planned to establish 10 Centers of Excellence in Bihar.
To improve discipline, education quality, and infrastructure, a coordination committee comprising Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and BAAN representatives will be formed. The committee will focus on strengthening the alumni, school, and student network.
During his Patna visit, Commissioner Lakhani addressed key issues such as teacher shortages, local teacher ad-hoc recruitment, and student mobile usage in schools. He assured that these concerns would be addressed on priority.
Furthermore, NVS is set to implement biometric and facial recognition-based attendance monitoring across all Navodaya schools soon.
BAAN President Mr. Arvind Kumar informed the Commissioner that the alumni association is launching a health awareness mission for female students across all Bihar Navodaya schools.
Commissioner Lakhani concluded that active alumni engagement would not only contribute to the progress of Navodaya schools but also provide better opportunities for future generations.
The meeting was attended by NVS Patna Region DC Mr. D.D. Sharma, AC Mr. Satyendra Gupta, AC Mr. N.C. Kar, along with BAAN representatives Saket Dayal (JNV Supaul), Krishna Kant (JNV Vikram), Tej Narayan (JNV Madhubani), and Kaushalendra (JNV Nawada).

पटना: नवोदय विद्यालय समिति (NVS) के कमीश्नर श्री राजेश लखानी ने बिहार नवोदय एलुमनी संगठन बाण (बिहार एलुमनी एसोसिएशन ऑफ नवोदय) द्वारा नवोदय विद्यालयों के समग्र विकास में निभाई जाने वाली महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को रेखांकित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि एलुमनी का सहयोग न केवल छात्रों को मार्गदर्शन और प्रेरणा देगा, बल्कि शैक्षणिक गुणवत्ता को भी मजबूत करेगा।
बाण के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ हुई बैठक में, श्री लखानी ने कहा कि नवोदय विद्यालयों से पढ़कर निकले छात्र आज विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में सफलता प्राप्त कर रहे हैं। यदि वे अपने अनुभव, संसाधन और समय को स्कूलों के विकास में लगाते हैं, तो इससे वर्तमान विद्यार्थियों को बड़ा लाभ मिलेगा। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि करियर काउंसलिंग, स्कॉलरशिप, मेंटरशिप प्रोग्राम और तकनीकी सहायता जैसे प्रयासों से नवोदय छात्रों को दीर्घकालिक लाभ मिलेगा।
श्री लखानी ने यह भी बताया कि शैक्षिक स्तर को इतना मजबूत किया जाएगा कि छात्र अपने विद्यालय में ही प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी कर सकें। इसके लिए नवोदय विद्यालय समिति देश के प्रमुख कोचिंग संस्थानों से सहयोग ले रही है और बिहार में 10 सेंटर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस स्थापित किए जाएंगे।
अनुशासन, शिक्षा गुणवत्ता और इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर सुधार के लिए नवोदय विद्यालय समिति और बाण के बीच एक समन्वय समिति का गठन किया जाएगा, जो एलुमनी, स्कूल और छात्रों के नेटवर्क को मजबूत करने पर कार्य करेगी।
पटना दौरे के दौरान, श्री लखानी ने शिक्षकों की कमी, स्थानीय शिक्षकों की अस्थायी बहाली और स्कूलों में छात्रों द्वारा मोबाइल फोन के उपयोगजैसे महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर चर्चा की और इन समस्याओं के समाधान की प्राथमिकता पर जोर दिया।
इसके अलावा, जल्द ही सभी नवोदय विद्यालयों में बायोमेट्रिक और फेस रीडिंग एप के माध्यम से उपस्थिति और निगरानी की प्रणाली लागू की जाएगी।
बाण के अध्यक्ष श्री अरविंद कुमार ने कमीश्नर को बताया कि एलुमनी संगठन बिहार के सभी नवोदय विद्यालयों में छात्राओं के लिए स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता मिशन शुरू करने जा रहा है।
कमीश्नर लखानी का मानना है कि यदि नवोदय विद्यालयों के एलुमनी अपने विद्यालयों से जुड़ते हैं, तो इससे न केवल विद्यालयों की प्रगति होगी बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों को भी बेहतर अवसर मिलेंगे।
इस बैठक में NVS पटना रीजन के डीसी श्री डी.डी. शर्मा, एसी श्री सत्येन्द्र गुप्ता, एसी श्री एन.सी. कार, तथा बाण के प्रतिनिधि साकेत दयाल (जेएनवी सुपौल), कृष्ण कांत (जेएनवी विक्रम), तेज नारायण (जेएनवी मधुबनी) और कौशलेंद्र (जेएनवी नवादा) उपस्थित रहे।
